The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the transition to working from home and has highlighted the importance of broadband to our communities – rural and urban. Increases in work-at-home, remote schooling, telemedicine, and other social-distancing efforts have revealed broadband service gaps and their impacts.
Given this new pressure on the broadband infrastructure, we have seen an increase and a sense of urgency in the discussions regarding the role of Counties in ensuring citizens have access to high-performing, affordable, and reliable broadband.
The Wisconsin Counties Association Webinar hosted by PSE’s Tom Asp and Jim Weikert will review the issues and challenges that county’s face in facilitating solutions, potential approaches including partnerships, potential funding available, and key considerations when developing a strategy for your County.
