Land Mobile Radio (LMR) is a wireless voice communications system used with mobile and/or portable radios. LMR systems can be voice only, data only, or a combination, and can be privately owned or part of a public network. LMR is considered a mission-critical application and is typically replaced every 10 to 20 years, although many have longer lifespans. Designing, procuring, and deploying a new system can be a complex process.

The PSE team evaluates and procures mobile voice and data systems and continues to provide support throughout deployment, including coverage predictions, traffic loading, design, channel plan and licensing, procurement, installation, system testing, and cutover.
