Production processes that utilize automated control can achieve a higher level of accuracy and consistency than those that rely on manual control. Automated control systems can vary in size and complexity, but they all perform the same basic actions: 1) Instrumentation continually measures process conditions; and 2) The control processor analyzes the data in real-time and makes adjustments to variables (pumps, valves, blowers, etc.) as required.
