Transmission System Impact Studies
From time to time, generation or load additions or changes may necessitate a thorough review of the transmission system. In some cases, existing plans or facilities may be inadequate to handle a system impacted by the change.
Power System Engineering, Inc. (PSE) can perform or review a System Impact Study to provide you with an understanding of how a change can affect the transmission system and make recommendations to properly accommodate these changes. The study consists of two phases – Steady State Analysis and Dynamic Stability and is the most important study of the interconnection process.
PSE can develop a cost estimate of any recommended system modifications to assist you or the local utility with contractual, tariff, and contributions in aid of construction (CIAC) decisions associated with a new large customer or distributed generation interconnection.
