Technology Work Plan

A Technology Work Plan is an easy and affordable way for utilities to engage experienced experts in the decision process to determine what applications and supporting technology can be most beneficial to their organization. Rather than planning and implementing new technology for the first time and relearning information and lessons others already know, PSE clients can engage our team of experts whose job it is to represent our client’s interests and work in a coordinated and complimentary fashion with their staff.

Software and hardware solutions for the utility market are constantly changing, providing a bewildering array of products, services, and integration solutions that appear attractive, but difficult to evaluate against other choices. With overlapping hardware and software requirements and benefits, it is difficult to determine what applications and associated technology direction makes the most sense for your utility.

The Technology Work Plan process involves PSE facilitating and leading a dialogue with our client’s management and staff to arrive at a multi-year strategy including objectives, conceptual designs, budgets, priorities, and implementation methods. The process involves PSE bringing to the table substantial information and know-how regarding applications and the best supporting technologies and suppliers.

PSE has unique strengths in helping utility clients by combining expertise of utility automation and communication systems and an understanding of the operational practices and work environment of our clients. PSE knows how to engineer and design solutions for field automation applications such as SCADA, AMR, Load Management, Substation Automation, Distribution Automation, Mobile Workforce Management, Land Mobile Radio, and other common utility applications.
