OEP: Distribution and Delivery System Services

PSE has a number of OEP services, which include:
  • Performing distribution and delivery system analysis and make recommendations to assure safe system operation.
  • Monitoring technical developments in electric utility distribution engineering field, while making recommendations for significant or incremental improvements when deemed necessary.
  • Monitoring project during detailed design and construction, providing functional direction when necessary.
  • Maintaining a strong working knowledge of company safety rules, state and national electrical codes, system operating and maintenance practices and other related technical issues.
  • Providing regulatory requirements and industry standards knowledge.
  • Providing customer service and technical assistance to the utility.
  • Monitoring the integrity of system voltage, capacity, overcurrent device coordination, voltage flicker and other related items.
  • Responsible for the investigation and mitigation of electrical system power quality and interference problems due to abnormal currents and voltage.
  • Assisting in the development of cost sharing, interconnection and facility agreements with other utilities including cost benefit analysis.
  • Assisting in preparation of documents and media for public information hearings and meetings
